How to Add Content to Your Blog Posts 

Welcome to your new blog! This guide will walk you through the steps to add and edit content for your blog posts. Whether you’re sharing updates, stories, or news, these instructions will help you get your content up and running smoothly.

• Step 1: Access the Blog Content Section

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and navigate to your website.

  2. On the left-hand panel, scroll down to the “Not Linked” section.

  3. Click on “Blog Content” which is the first item listed.

• Step 2: Duplicate the Template Post

  1. Hover over the template post. You will see options appear next to the post title.

  2. Click on the “… More” button (three dots) that appears next to the post title.

  3. In the dropdown menu, select “Duplicate”. This action will create a copy of the template post.

• Step 3: Rename the Duplicated Post Title

  1. The duplicated post will appear in your list of blog posts with “Copy” added to the title.

  2. Click on the duplicated post to open it.

  3. Change the title to match the new content you will be adding.

• Step 4: Update the URL Slug + Featured Image

  1. In the duplicated post editor, navigate to the “Options” tab on the right-hand side. Click "Settings" first if editing the blog post in full screen.

  2. Replace the "Featured Image" and update the “Post URL” field to reflect the new title or content of your post. This ensures the URL is unique and relevant.

• Step 5: Edit the Post Content

  1. Replace the placeholder content with your new content. You can edit text, images, videos, and other blocks as needed.

  2. Delete any blocks that aren’t needed by navigating to the block’s toolbar and click on the “trash can” icon. A confirmation message will appear. Click “Delete” to confirm the removal.

• Step 6: Publish the Duplicated Post

  1. When you’re ready to publish the duplicated post, click the “Draft” button at the top right and change it to “Published”.

  2. Click “Save” to publish your post immediately.
